GRANT WRITING

I love helping clients pitch and fund projects that are close to their hearts.

I have been a professional writer for over 20 years, writing across mediums that include film and TV and magazine journalism. As a writer and director of film and television, writing and obtaining grants is how I have funded most of my work. I usually obtain one in every four grants I apply for, which is why I started helping others.

To date, I have helped artists write successful grants for Telefilm, Ontario Creates, the Bell Fund, the Independent Production Fund, the Ontario Arts Council, the Toronto Arts Council, the Canada Council for the Arts, FACTOR and CALQ.

I also write grants for small businesses and non-profits successfully securing funding through such government bodies as Canadian Heritage, CCA and the Trillium Foundation. More recently, I’ve started to write grants for small businesses in Ontario seeking government grants for tariff relief.

My consulting services include: researching available grants and writing them for clients, managing annual grant “action plans” and story editing and coaching services that help creatives make works that are the truest expressions of themselves.

To date I have written successful grants for over $2.8 million in funding.
